I have just finished moving house. It took all of 5 hours which I am very happy about as that is what I calculated it would take. My ISP told me that the internet would take 4 business days to get connected. I get a call this evening (day 1) asking if my internet connected OK.
I told them I had not tested it due to the information I had been given but I did test it and I am back! So if anyone missed me, you don’t have to anymore because I am here.

I guess we all do it from time to time but moving house can be a big job and also quite stressful. I am moving next Wednesday but, thankfully, I have been slowly culling stuff and packing for about 2 months so I have now done 98% of it.
Many of the other chores such as changing phone number and internet and redirecting mail have all been organised. I have the removalist organised and my best mate to help as well. I have a professional cleaner coming in as I can’t do it myself.
I won’t be online from Wednesday 27th April to Monday 2nd May due to my ISP taking ages to organise the new connection. So if anybody does need me for anything, I guess you will have to tell me beforehand or wait until I return.
I am just glad I am moving somewhere that is quieter and a little cheaper. Then I can jump back into my work again. I guess that’s all I want to say for now folks.

Do you work every day? Do you feel burnt out? When was the last time you took a holiday? It’s very easy to get snowed under with work and the days blend together into an endless blur.
I felt like this last week and so I decided it was time for a short holiday to break the monotony and to also give my brain a rest from the constant quiet chatter that goes on inside my head. I am sure many of you think the same. It’s essential that you take a real break, even if it’s only for a few days. Get away from the computer and everything else and just go somewhere peaceful and quiet.
I didn’t go far. It was only a 40 minute drive but the difference was amazing. It was in the mountains and the air is cleaner and all you hear are the birds chirping. I almost finished reading a good book. I had massages and spas every day. I went for walks and just relaxed.
I returned to my real life yesterday and I do feel a bit more refreshed so I can now tackle more work head on.:) I highly recommend taking a break at least twice a year just to maintain your sanity. You don’t have to spend a lot of money but you do need to get away completely. So, what’s stopping you?
