Procrastination can be a serious problem for people with no self-discipline. If you’re running a business from home, it’s easy to become distracted by emails and social sites such as Facebook.

If you want to become successful, you need to make a list of goals each day and ensure they are all accomplished by the end of your working day. You can allow time for emails and anything else, but regulate the amount of time spent so that it doesn’t eat into the rest of your day.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow’s a mystery. You only have today. A 24 hour present of time . It’s up to you to decide how to use your present but you’ll never get that time back if you waste it. Focus and start now.

There are millions of websites on the internet. All of them have written content. Some people write the material themselves while others outsource that aspect of their business to writers with the necessary skills.

It’s vital that you understand what actually goes on when you outsource writing work, no matter what sort of material you need. You can’t assume that you’re the only client the writer has to deal with.

Words don’t magically appear on the screen without a lot of thought being put into them. Some people use article spinners and PLR material while others write everything themselves.

Before taking on any new assignment, the writer has to consider many factors. His first priority is to his existing clients. If he doesn’t do that, he may lose regular work in an attempt to please everyone else.

He has to know what sort of material is needed by any potential client. The size and content have to be considered as well as any deadline. No matter what the topic, a certain amount of research must be done to ensure the best possible product is created.

Time is the final element that has to be added to the mix. When is the deadline? When did you request the job to be started? Fees have to be discussed and if you’re a new client, expect to pay some or all of the money upfront, at least for the first job.

If you’re unhappy with the quote, don’t bother telling him you can get it cheaper elsewhere. That won’t make him change his prices. Everyone knows there are plenty of “writers” that will work for ridiculously small amounts of money…and their work generally reflects that poor quality.

A writer’s time is valuable and he can’t afford to waste it on work that you have no intention of paying for. Most writers have websites and samples of their writing. Some also have testimonials displayed on their site.

Please keep all of these points in mind when you consider hiring a writer for your next project.

There are numerous online marketing forums available for people to join. The standard of people involved varies considerably.

The best forum I have ever come across is the Honest Work From Home Success Forum for many reasons.

The administrators and moderators are genuinely kind people who take the time to help anybody in need. They instill that same sense of camaraderie in the rest of the members as well.

You have access to a wealth of knowledge freely offered by the members, even if they get nothing in return except for the satisfaction of helping someone else. You have access to a ton of ebooks, videos and software packages, either free or at incredibly low cost.

Various training courses are also available to help those in need of mentoring. To sum it up, I wouldn’t waste my time with any other forum. Sure, I may be a member and I have a subjective view, but if you spend any time in the forum, you’ll surely agree that it has qualities that don’t exist elsewhere.

If you want immediate access, just open the Work From Home door and come on inside.

Article: Why Bother With Article Writing When You Can Just Sell?
http://www.psychotactics.com/blog/article-writing-sells

===============================================

If you stepped into a restaurant and asked for a wine, you’d get a question back. The question would be: Which wine would you prefer?
Red or white? And of course those questions would lead to more questions. Until finally you got down to the exact wine you were looking for.

===============================================
Article writing has that kind of variety too.
===============================================
And because articles are so varied in nature, it’s easy to get confused with the terminology. So first we must ask: What is article writing?

And the answer to that is simple: Article writing is like the editorial you see in your newspaper. When you read the news in your newspaper, those are articles. And even as we understand article writing, we tend to get confused between articles and sales letters.

===============================================
So aren’t sales letters articles as well?
===============================================
Sales letters are what you see on a sales page. So when someone is selling something to you, they tend to write a sales letter. The sales letter has a different tone. It has different graphics. And if we go back to the newspaper analogy, we see that the editorial is the news you read.

And the sales letter are the advertisements in the newspaper. As you’ve figured out, the ads look different from the editorial. Different tone, different graphics–yeah, lots of differences.

===============================================
So why bother with article writing when you can just sell?
===============================================
Article writing is powerful because we have a natural tendency to “put up a wall” when we are being sold to. Article writing is a powerful expression of ideas.

For example: With an article I can get you to eat one type of food vs. another. I can get you to understand why you need to change that chair you’re sitting on. I can get you to switch to a superior brand of coffee. And the reason this happens is because information empowers you.

===============================================
When you’re empowered, you tend to pay closer attention.
===============================================
When you’re being sold to, you often gloss over the material. This is why we tend to read almost every word in articles, and tend to skim over sales letters. So in fact, the article is an extremely powerful way–and a non-threatening way–to get your customers to see things in a different light.

But this lighting gets all confused if you don’t know what kind of article you’re setting out to write.

===============================================
So let’s explore three main types of articles you could write.
===============================================
-    How-To
-    Story-Type
-    FAQ-Writing

===============================================
How-To Type:
===============================================
This type of article-writing is when you give specific facts. You may tell me why I need to wear sunglasses (to avoid problems when I’m older). You may well tell me a method to increase my prices (without losing customers). You may tell me how to grow a thousand tomatoes in a tiny space. As you can tell, this is a how-to type of article. And it’s a lot different from the news articles you often see.

News articles are just a report of what’s happened. E.g. A bus crashed into a store. A cat ran up a Sequoia tree etc. Those are just reports and they do inform. The how-to article goes a bit further. It empowers you to achieve something, do something or experience something in a different way. A how-to article tends to have specific steps. Which is slightly different from a story-type of article.

===============================================
The Story-Type
===============================================
The story type of article is educational, but in a story format. So if you tell us the story of how you had your first workshop, then that transports all of us into your world, your triumphs, your mistakes. It’s a powerful form of article writing, because people love stories. And it’s not only easier to read a story-type of article; it’s also easier to write one.

A story-type of article will not necessarily have any steps. It follows a sequence. First this happened, then that, then that. And because you don’t have to think of steps, you can write faster.
Your story is your story. No one objects to the concepts in your story.

And of course there’s a third type of article: The FAQ type. FAQ is simply “Frequently Asked Questions”.

===============================================
FAQ Type:
===============================================
Think of a manual. A manual has instructions. The FAQ type of article is a very dry, instruction-based article. And it’s easy to underestimate the value of this type of article. After all this article doesn’t very often generate any income, and is often something a client will read after they’ve committed to or after they’ve bought something. And yet the FAQ article is critical because it helps the client find their way around unfamiliar territory.

E.g. If you’re a photographer and you write articles on:
- What clothes to wear to a shoot.
- How to handle kids at a shoot.
- How to be unhassled for a shoot.

What you’ve done is given the client the chance to consume your product in the best possible way. And this applies to both products and services. If someone buys a product from you, your instructions should be clear so they can download the product, or use the product to their maximum advantage.

These articles are dry and boring–for you to write. It’s critical for the customer to read and not dry and boring at all. And there you have it, three core ways to write an article.

===============================================
So which type of article writing is the easiest?
===============================================
They’re all tough. One may appear easier than the other, but they all require enormous practice without which you’ll soon lose steam and give up. The story-type may appear easier, but remember that there are thousands of Hollywood scripts, articles in magazines and novels that are pure story-lines and still get rejected day after day. The key to your success is to stop looking over the fence to what seems like the easier option.

===============================================
The best method to write articles is to pick one way and keep at it.
===============================================
Every article has the same core structure with a few changes. Once you learn to write one type, it’s easier to switch over to the other type without any drama. But if you try and go back and forth between the types of articles, you may well struggle. And you only have yourself to blame.

===============================================
My advice is to stick to the how-to type ===============================================
The how-to type allows you to tell stories, give a how-to component and is also very instructional in many ways. If on some days you feel like just writing a story, don’t let me stop you. But don’t believe for a second that one type is easier than the other.
They’re all tough, and the sooner you get mastery over one type, the sooner you get mastery over all three.

===============================================
Summary:
===============================================
- Articles are different from sales letter writing.
- Sales letters are different in tone, structure and are
purely sales. Articles are not.
- Articles convince because they empower the customer rather
that bamboozle them into buying.
- There are three core types of article writing: How-to,
Story, FAQ.
- How-to works best because it can encompass all three types
within a single article.
- The other side of the fence always looks greener. Stay on your side.

===============================================
Articles are like wine
===============================================
There’s a lot to choose from. It’s a struggle because they can be so varied in nature. But just like wine, it’s best to get to your favourite type and then enjoy.

1) “I first bought the Brain Audit in 2002. It was 32 pages long.
And I thought it was the best damn book on copy writing I had read!
It laid down the entire sequence of elements that any successful sales letter or presentation needs to cover to make the prospect say “yes!”

I really thought that Brain Audit could not be improved upon.

But year after year, Sean has been proving me wrong. He has improved upon it. And improved upon it. And improved upon it.

Sean’s added more details to the Brain Audit. More stories and analogies. Better graphics (and fun cartoons!). He has used every teaching trick possible to make sure that you not only understand the sequence of elements needed to make people buy from… but the sequence soaks into your thinking pattern.

Today, Brain Audit 3.2 is 157 pages long! And its the best* book on persuasion you will ever read!

* Until Sean comes out with version 4.0 a year or 2 down the line.
But you really can’t afford to wait a year or 2 to take advantage of the Brain Audit, can you?”

There is a lot of information available for people with diabetes. Some of it is quite in-depth. This is some of the basic information for people concerned about diabetes. There are three main types of diabetes.

Type one is an auto-immune disease associated with the body’s inability to produce insulin. The pancreatic beta cells are attacked and killed. Therefore people who have type one must have regular insulin injections.

Type two diabetes is a metabolic disorder. The insulin produced by the pancreas isn’t effectively used in the body. Treatment can be just diet and exercise or you may need oral medications and/or insulin injections as well. Gestational diabetes is related to type two and is generally a temporary situation during pregnancy.

The risk factors for type two diabetes include: being overweight or obese, poor eating habits, not drinking enough water, age, high triglycerides, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stress, race, a family history of type two diabetes or cardiovascular disease, smoking, drinking, lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle.

Most of these factors are within your power to change if you want to prevent getting diabetes. But you have to be willing to do so for the long term results. The number of people with diabetes only increases as the years roll by. Technology allows people to do more without having to exert themselves.

If you want to prevent becoming diabetic, you should eat nutritious food in small portions, cut out junk food, exercise regularly, keep a close check on your sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol, lose weight if that’s an issue, see a doctor regularly and get things checked out if you feel something isn’t right.

You should also seek to educate yourself on the many symptoms associated with diabetes so you won’t ignore something if it occurs. Read information. Speak to your doctor or dietitian if you have concerns. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Diabetes can be prevented if it’s caught in time. Unfortunately, by the time most people are diagnosed, they have already been diabetic for years and some damage has been done.

This is some of the basic information for people concerned about diabetes and its ramifications. If you have questions, always seek medical advice.

I came across this list of 22 reasons why you should never give up and I hope that you will be inspired by at least some of what is written here.

1- As Long As You Are Alive Anything Is Possible
The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead. As long as you are alive (and healthy and free) you have the choice to keep trying until you finally succeed.

2- Be Realistic
The chance of mastering something the first time you do it is almost non-existent. Everything takes time to learn and you will make mistakes. Learn from them.

3- Michael Jordan
Arguably the best basketball player of all time. He attributes his success to all his failures. He just never gave up even when he knew he had missed over 300 shots and had missed the winning shot of the game many times. Every time he got knocked down he got back up again.

4- Lance Armstrong
Lance was diagnosed with serious cancer that had spread throughout his entire body. He had cancer cells the size of golf balls in his lungs. Despite all odds he overcame the cancer and set out to win the Tour de France 6 Consecutive years in a row.

5- Muhammad Ali
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”. Muhammad Ali is one of the best boxers the world has ever known. He suffered only 5 losses while having 56 wins and was the first boxer to win the lineal heavyweight championship three times. This is a guy who literally knows how to get knocked down and get back up.

6- The Man Who Created The Marathon
Very long ago an Athenian herald was sent to Sparta to get help when the Persians landed in Greece. It was said that he ran 240km in 2 days and after that he ran 40km to announce the victory of the Greeks only to collapse and die on the spot from exhaustion. If you ever feel like things are difficult, imagine what it would be like to run 240km in 2 days. (Don’t try that because you might die from it, but use it as an inspiration).

7- Chris Gardner – The Pursuit of Happiness
Have you seen the movie “The Pursuit of Happiness”? It is based on the life story of Chris Gardener, a man who went for the lowest of the lows in an environment where most people would give up (no money, no job) to the highest of the highs (A millionaire with his own investment firm). If you ever think about giving up, watch this movie!

8- Kanye West
I’m pretty sure you have heard of the rapper Kanye West. Read his story. He is a big inspiration for me and proves that you can go from having very little to being among the most famous and respected people in the world.

9- Nelson Mandela
Campaigned for justice and freedom in his South Africa. Spent 20 years in jail for his opposition to apartheid. On release he healed the wounds of apartheid by his magnanimous attitude toward his former political enemies.

10- You Are Strong
You are stronger than you think. One little setback is not enough to stop you from achieving your goals. Neither are 10 or 100 or 1000 setbacks.

11- Prove Yourself
You don’t want to be known as someone that is weak and gives up. Go out there and prove yourself to the world and to yourself. You CAN and WILL achieve what you set out to do. The only time you fail is when you give up.

12- Has It Been Done Before?
If someone else can do it then so can you. Even if it is only one other person in the world that has achieved what you have set out to achieve, that should be reason enough for you to never give up.

13- Believe In Your Dreams
Don’t sell yourself short. In life there are going to be many people who will try to bring you down and tell you what you want to achieve is not possible. Don’t let anyone destroy your dreams.

14- Your Family and Friends.
Let the people you love and who mean the world to you be your inspiration to persist and persevere. Maybe you need to try a different angle, study more or practice more but don’t give up!

15- Because I Tell You To.
Not that I am any sort of guru or Godly figure, but if you want to give up then don’t. Just because I’m telling you not to.

16- There Are People Worse-Off
Right now there are many people who are in a worse situation and environment than you are right now. Are you thinking about giving up running 5 miles a week? Think about the people who are unable to even walk and how much they would give to be able to run 5 miles every day.

17- Improve Our World
When you achieve whatever you set out to achieve you can use your success to make a difference to the world or other peoples lives.

18- Get Rich or Die Trying
Like Fiddy (50 cent) says, “Get rich or die trying”. 50 Cent is rich, he made it (although he did get shot 9 times). Face your fears and don’t take the easy way out by giving up.

19- Let The Haters Hate
There will always be haters. There will always be plenty of naysayers and people who try to tear you down. Don’t pay attention to them and don’t take what they say to heart. Let the haters hate and you keep believing in yourself.

20- You Deserve To Be Happy
Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise. You deserve to be happy and you deserve to have success. Keep that mindset and never give up until you reach your destination!

21- Inspire Others
Be an inspiration to others by refusing to give up. Who knows what someone else can achieve because you never gave up and in turn inspired them not to give up.

22- You Are So Close
Often when you feel like you want to give up and you are about to give up you are so close to making a huge break-thru. Seth Godin has written an awesome book about this called “The Dip” – a riveting read that teaches that at any given time you are always just a heartbeat away from success.

P.S. NEVER GIVE UP!

If you’re newly diagnosed with diabetes, it can be very stressful because it’s not something you’ve had to deal with before. There are lots of factors that need to be addressed. Being diabetic and knowing what to do about it is vital if you want to live a long and healthy life while still managing the various symptoms.

The first step is to seek answers from your doctor, endocrinologist and dietician so you can start making changes. Don’t make decisions based solely on information you read on the internet or that friends and family may give you.

You’ll need to re-evaluate the types and amount of food that you eat. The focus has to be on healthy foods that are low in carbs, low in bad fats, low in sugar and high in protein and nutrients,. Educate yourself on the different groups of the food pyramid and the number of serves you should have each day to maintain a healthy eating regime.

You need to undertake regular exercise. Regardless of how busy you are, there are always ways to burn off calories. Take public transport instead of driving. If you drive, park the car further away from the office and walk. Take the steps instead of the elevator. Walk the dog before work every day. These are some simple ways to fit exercise into a busy lifestyle.

You can also join a gym or buy equipment to use at home. Get involved in a sporting activity regularly because exercising with others is very motivating. Anything that gets the heart rate up will help push blood through the body, get your muscles working and build stamina.

You’ll have to test your blood sugar levels every day to determine if your efforts are working or whether you may need medication in the form of tablets and/or insulin. This is never the first choice but may be necessary as diabetes can go undetected for years because many symptoms can be seen as something else if the doctor isn’t actually thinking about diabetes.

Alternative therapies such as massage, yoga, physiotherapy and reiki can all help you to reduce stress levels which increase blood sugar and blood pressure. Many aspects of life can be stressful, especially work, and so it’s important to deliberately find ways to relax.

Simple activities such as watching a movie or reading a book can also help you relax. Play calming music or meditate will quiet your mind and can be good ways to help you sleep better. Good quality sleep enables your body to prepare for the rigors of the following day.

Being diabetic and knowing what to do about it is essential. However, you also have to take action based on your knowledge or you’ll more than likely find the symptoms will become overwhelming.
